Campus Experience Specialist - Enrollment

Primary Function:

The Campus Experience Specialist is crucial to the success of the Enrollment Team.  The person in this position is often the first contact for most prospective students and their families.  This role is responsible for facilitating all on-campus prospective student visits and related events.  

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • As the first point of contact for the Admission Office and its welcome desk, responsible for the prospective student and guest visit experience. Assist and direct all walk-ins to the Admission Office.
  • Answer and direct all incoming phone calls. Assist callers when appropriate.
  • Maintain the Visit Calendar – schedule campus visits and record them on the office calendar accordingly.
  • Plan and execute on-campus recruiting events (some evenings and weekends required).
  • Plan and execute off-campus regional receptions (some evenings and weekends required).
  • Execute individual campus visits ensuring a memorable campus visit experience and providing accurate data entry and follow-up in student database.
  • Maintain all communication associated with the Campus Visit Experience (students, parents, faculty, staff, and coaches)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Assist directly or indirectly the supervision of Student Ambassadors.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing and maintaining expenses within the Student Ambassador Budget(s).

Other Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first impression person for the Admission Office; professionally and positively welcome, greet and direct visitors.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the office, the professional appearance of the lobby, maintaining visitor refreshment center and keeping other items that visitor's use/take well stocked.
  • Update lobby monitor with prospective student visit information, Student Ambassador of the week, and "meet your counselor" details.
  • Maintain Admission email accounts and respond/distribute appropriately.
  • Maintain a "how-to" procedure manual and instructions for the role.
  • Promote a positive image of Hanover College and represent the College in accordance with the College's mission, principles, and strategic plan.
  • Support and advocate for the College's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, goals, and mission.
  • Perform/complete other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Cross train to fill in for the Processing Specialist in their absence.

Qualifications:

I.     Education, Certifications, Training, Experience

  • Minimum high school diploma required
  • 2 years customer service experience required
  • 2 years professional office experience required
  • Previous event planning and scheduling experience preferred
