ENGINEER III
The Engineer III position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The position is also responsible for the performance of the following types of maintenance work: 1) electrical, 2) HVAC, 3) carpentry 4) painting and 5) mechanical. Responsible for repairing mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment; installs and repairs all audio systems, television and radio systems, satellite systems, CCTV systems, alarm systems, digital and analog control systems, audio-visual equipment systems and paging systems, perform maintenance painting/wall covering, and repairs and constructs carpentry structure, under general supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
- Maintains and repairs refrigerator equipment, boilers, and electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
- Fabricates, repairs, and maintains equipment such as any mechanical devices, motors, and pumps throughout property.
- Assists in building interface or accessory equipment as needed.
- Responds to customer requests for maintenance assistance in order to provide courteous, timely and expert service.
- Assists in the installation, removal or relocation of electronic equipment, in accordance with established priorities.
- Fixes all property electronic equipment (except for slot machines and computers) by repairing minor damage to parts and wiring and replacing failed components, in order to ensure proper operation of all equipment according to established schedules and department standards.
- Thorough and in-depth knowledge of plumbing, mechanics, electrical and electronic systems, welding, refrigeration, boilers and HVAC and chillers.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
The skills necessary for this position are typically acquired through a minimum of three years’ related engineering experience in a hotel/casino with 750 or more rooms, and/or through the completion of an AA Degree in a related field and five years’ related experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
