LEAD RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE

The Lead Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Lead Retail Sales Associate is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining Retail outlet operations, training Associates, addressing guest concerns and ensuring achievement of optimum production levels as established by the Retail / Spa Assistant Manager and the company.

Responsibilities:

  • The Lead Retail Sales Associate provides superior guest service, positively effects interactions with external and internal guests, and has the ability to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with team members.
  • Act as Manager on Duty during business hours and exercise good judgment in providing friendly, efficient and accurate service. Mentor and coach associates to ensure adherence to department policies and procedures.
  • The Lead Retail Sales Associate will respond to guest questions or concerns in regard to merchandise or purchases in the Retail outlets; effectively handle transactions such as voids, returns, exchanges, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of all work areas, reception areas,. Ensures all supplies, amenities and merchandise are priced accurately, stocked and available to guests at all times.
  • The Lead Retail Sales Associate will keep an accurate cash bank, make change, and handle sales transactions.
  • Responsible for training; will also assist in taking inventory of Retail outlets; assist Management with scheduling and adjust for labor needs;; provide input to the Retail / Spa Assistant Manager in regards to performance and production.
  • Promotes and sells retail, and has knowledge of retail products.
  • The Lead Retail Sales Associate assists with other Retail functions, as needed.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees.
  • Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change.
  •  Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.
  • Ability to use the equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, exercise equipment, spa facilities, computer and cash register.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.
  • This position is physical in nature and requires the ability to maneuver in order to perform other job duties.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and push and pull up to 100 pounds of equipment, merchandise and supplies.
  • This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, wet/humid conditions, crowds and noise.
  • Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as slippery conditions; proper safety precautions are taken.
  • Ability to think quickly in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Superior guest service skills and excellent communication required.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Computer skills and multi phone line experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through related certification from college or technical school and/or through three (3) months equivalent combination of on-the-job training and education.
