Risk It Indiana

Risk It is a regional business idea competition targeted at anyone who has a new or unique business idea. Have you been thinking about an invention? Have you perfected a new process or way to do your job? Send us your information and we will be selecting 6-8 people to pitch their ideas.

On the night of the event a comedian will host a show of all 6-8 competitors pitching their idea to a panel of judges. There will be 2-3 selected to move on to the awards luncheon in New Albany, where a 1st Place, 2nd Place, and audience choice winner will be named and recognized. The 1st place winner will have the chance to pitch their idea to all attendees at the luncheon.

Your Pitch: You will be given 5 minutes to pitch your idea to the panel. You can “stage” the stage with a small table and items (within a 2 minute setup/ tear down time limit). You will be given 5 minutes to answer questions asked by the panel of judges.

Winners: 1st and 2nd place will be determined by the panel of judges. Judges are looking for creativity, viability, and showmanship.

Audience Choice: Each attendee will pay $10.00 to attend the event. That will give each person 10 tickets to “vote” for their favorite presentation in the jars at the back of the room. The presentation receiving the highest amount of “votes” wins this award.
