Fireman's Waterball Fight

6 p.m. on Main Street in front of Jefferson Co. Courthouse

Area firefighters display their skill and stamina while battling in this annual soaking-wet competition sponsored by RKO Enterprises. Teams from throughout the area compete.

Two teams face off in a soggy tug-o’-war, using the jet spray of their fire hoses to move a large ball suspended high on a cable across the opposing team’s marker to win. The overall champion gets a trophy and bragging rights for a year.
